I have had some of these items for years, but recently I acquired some more very cute items to add to my Easter Seals Strawberry Shortcake collection of items. I wanted to share these together. I was finally able to capture a nice image of my poster after having it folded up for so long. It is wonderful to have a nice sharable image of this beauty. Below is the actual promotion that was in the Sunday Funnies from the Sunday paper that showed the Growth chart poster with the information you needed in order get have one sent to you. They required proof of purchase of a variety of different items you could choose from. Looking at the images of the items on the promotion, I see one cute item that I'm not sure was even made (or at least it is so incredibly rare that I just haven't seen one in pictures or in person). The Strawberry Shortcake Musical store?! The next picture is the very hard to find Berry Special poster mentioned in this promo, The "Wall-sized Growth Chart Poster". This poster is just amazing. It features the unique and gorgeous Strawberry Shortcake art of Bill Davidson. There is so much berry goodness happening on this poster it is mind blowing. Then on the back you have a little technical drawing of Strawberry Herself with a sweet message thanking you for your generosity supporting Easter Seals and how to hang your new poster up so you can begin to keep track of your growth with the chart.
It reads:
"It's good to have a friend like you
whose generous gift to Easter Seals
make the world a sweeter place!
Thank you Berry Much!!
Strawberry Shortcake
Next, below the poster I have added a lovely Newspaper picture of a meet and greet with the 1982 National Easter Seals poster child Mary Sacco holding a Strawberry Shortcake doll in her hand (child in wheelchair), with Strawberry Shortcake by her side in full costume, The little children are greeting both Mary and Strawberry Shortcake with signs in hand. This event took place at the Friendly Ice Cream Corp's headquarters. This was an event for Junior directors of Friendly Corp. for Easter Seals. I love this picture!
I hope you enjoy this little tour of these lovely items!
