This photograph has a clipping from the actual newspaper it was featured on. Says that Shortcake is the "Most popular toy this Christmas" of 1981. I has several official looking stamps and date. Lots of fancy bells and whistles. I love it. lovely piece of Shortcake history From Nov.29, 1981
