This cute paper doll card gives a little child a lot to do. Inside you get a paper doll of Strawberry Shortcake that has already been cut out for you. She is made of a thicker card stock than the card. It is stuck to the card with a sort of double stick tape. These paper doll cards are interesting because they are made with a thin paper than most other greeting cards. They are printed with a lighter ink that have a sort of pastel look to them. The cards are also stapled together which is not usual for the Strawberry Shortcake greeting cards except for these cards that have the attached paper doll with the punch out outfits. This specific cards paper has a rough texture almost like a emery boards feels, like a thin plastic. It's quite unique. I don't own have any other card with this texture in my collection of cards. This card is from 1980. AGC made this card is several different font styles, paper types, and to different recipient titles as a Valentine's Day Card. There is also a Red Heart version of this Valentine as well. This card has two other versions that look slightly different. One other version is the Birthday card where she is holding a red balloon in her hand instead of a heart. That card is larger than the Valentine's style. Also there is a version that SSC is next to a Christmas Tree. All have the staples holding them together. I have added some of the variants at the bottom for you to see. Enjoy !
