Here is another side by side on variants. This is so subtle it is barely noteworthy. I purchased this card recently because it was in better condition than mine was. When I received it I noticed that the writing on the inside was a different color. I was going to sell my duplicate but decided to keep it since finding new cards has been slim pickings for me lately. I love variants so much. This card is unique because it has a unique treatment to the surface of the card on the characters and art that makes it glossy and has a sort of embossing feel. It is like an enamel over the paper. The process of doing this is called heat embossing. In this case they used a clear powder over the art and heated it to create this shiny effect. Such a nice look and feel to it. You can see that the heated embossing powder has turned slightly yellow due to age. I have always appreciated this "Soda I" saying on the inside as well. Berry cute! <
