This Stationery is such eye candy. It is from 1981. The graphics are so colorful and simply adorable.
Strawberry Shortcake is flying high up in the air in a hot air balloon that looks like she had a fun time
decorating herself. Custard is dropping some mini parachutes with strawberries. One even has Lucky Bug on it.
The Stationery reads "Special Delivery just for you....". On the envelope is Custard and Lucky Bug on the top of a
parachute with a pretty butterfly fluttering next to them. Attached to the parachute is a juicy ripe strawberry
on it's way down. This stationery is one of the rare ones. If you visit the Stationery page on my site I took
pictures of each side of this box. It may seem obvious to a collector that this is indeed a Strawberry Shortcake
stationery set. But not necessarily to someone who is not aware of Strawberry Shortcake because her name appears no where on the box. In fact the only markings on this box is American Greetings Forget Me Not on the front center plastic cover and on the top and bottom sides. Also you can see the words 1981 American Greetings Corp. on each printed sheet, that's it. I have found that these stationery sheet sets that came in this specific packaging with the clear plastic top and the ribbon wrapped around it all have no Strawberry Shortcake identification on them. I have several and none have it. This set came with 20 Decorative Sheets,20 Plain Sheets , and 20 Decorative Envelopes. These are so yummy. I love it !!
