Her name is Angelique for the French Charlotte aux Fraises International Strawberry Shortcake Club. She is the 9th doll in the series. I had to buy these all at once practically because I didn't want to be left behind missing any of them.I purchased like 2 a week for the past 2 months. I still have some one the way with delays due to the Corona Virus.
My main attraction was the magazine and the cards to be completely honest. Some of the dolls have the print on their faced stamped on incorrectly. Being a custom doll artist I am kind of picky about that. Some have the very high mouth like the Lemon Meringue one. Some have the eyes to far apart , or too high, or too low. Just too anything in any direction can make a lovely doll look off unfortunately. But with all that said, these dolls have grown on my very much. I decided to get all of them.
It is pretty incredible that at my adulthood I am able to buy all the dolls. Like if I am getting a second chance to do it. Plus they have so many amazing dolls on the line up. I saw the Banana Twirl that is one of the ones due berry soon and also I am still waiting for the Raisin Cane to arrive. There is talks of T.N. Honey as well. I am so berry excited to see who else shows up. The Angel Cake doll I received has a very nice face stamp. Her outfit is very similar to the original. I would even say basically the same. The shoes are definitely different. She has lace up sneaker type shoes.They still look cute. Hair is nice also. I added some side by side with her Vintage version. Now and then, both so sweet and cute! The magazine is always delightful. It is in French. The card for this doll is quite lovely as well. I have that image on a calendar. This is the first card I own with this image. Berry Cute! Enjoy!
