This gift tag was purchased from the estate of person who was an employee of American Greetings. It was part of a much larger lot of various other gift tag preproduction prototypes for the test market. This card is also dated MCMLXXVIII, that's 1978, which is the second time I find a card that pre-dates the 1979 AGC Officially observed yearof Strawberry Shortcakes beginnings. I have not seen this gift tag before. it is made with the Barbi Sargent Leader cards style. I am not sure if it has ever been produced for sale. An amazing little piece of Berry history!
